‘At Home Series’ #2: Courtney Adamo
In the first installment of our brand new At Home Series, we spoke to Capra Designs co-founder Bianca Lambert on the inspirations behind her brand and how she incorporates her favorite pieces into her home.
Today, we have the privilege of speaking to Courtney Adamo and catching a glimpse into what makes her home so special.

Meet Courtney Adamo.
Courtney has made a name for herself with her precise eye for fashion and home decor. She lives with her wonderful family on the edge of Byron Bay and lives an enviable lifestyle of success and dedication. As a one-woman business tour de force, her accolades include author, respected blogger (having co-founded the very successful Babyccino), and sold-out courses on all that it means to be a mother, as well as wider family life.
We are so excited to feature Courtney in the second edition of our series and we can’t wait to share her home decor tips and tricks with you.
Courtney is featured here in her laundry room admiring her showstopping Dome Eros Planter and Small Archie terrazzo plant pot.
1. Talk to us about what makes you Courtney Adamo. What is your creative role, your stylistic influences, and passions in life?
I’m a mother of five and we live in Bangalow, in Byron Bay’s hinterland. I’m a journalist, author and blogger and have been working in the family lifestyle sphere for more than 15 years now. My biggest passion is connecting with other parents and continuing to learn and grow as a mother. I create and facilitate online courses and eBooks for parents, which brings together a community of parents where we can share and learn together. My most recent course focuses on Tweens & Teens, which of course is really relevant to me now that I have three teens myself. You can read more about what I do and discover my courses over at www.courtneyadamo.com.
2. How does your creativity inspire your home decor?
Decorating our home is definitely a passion. I have always loved creating spaces that are a reflection of myself and my family. I hope that when people walk into our home they get a sense of who we are, where we’ve traveled, what our passions are, what art we love, what books we’ve read, etc. I also want our home to feel cosy and inviting.
3. What Capra Designs products do you display in your home? What made you choose them?
I chose the Roma Pot in the Fossil color, which I love. I put some cuttings from a really quirky plant I received for my 40th birthday in this pot, and I love the way it looks. I also chose the Dome Eros Pot in the Terracotta color, which I love because it has a wider space for a variety of succulents. Lastly, I chose the Small Archie Pot because I thought it would look cute paired with the Dome Eros Pot in my laundry room.
4. What colors do you incorporate into your home and what role do they play?
I love having colourful accents in our home. Our walls are all painted white, which creates a very neutral palette to add playful hints of colour throughout. I love the red terracotta colour of the pot in our laundry room as it really stands out against the white walls.

5. What is your favorite thing about incorporating plants into your living space?
I can’t take all the credit for the house plants as this is definitely my husband, Michael’s passion. He’s the one with the green thumb and is often found out in the garden or inside repositioning or re-potting house plants. But of course we all reap the benefits because a house full of plants is not only healthy, but it’s quite calming and beautiful too. I love that we have house plants in nearly every room of our house.
